
Travis and Presley were welcomed home to many fans to be honored in a ceremony recognizing October 17, 2008 to be Travis and Presley day in Perry Oklahoma. They came in to the town square in parade that was led by the National Color Guard, followed by the Perry Police, Sheriff's Department, Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Fire department, Perry High School Band, School Color Guard, Pom Pom girls and cheerleaders, Perry Public Schools staff, Presley's parents, and Travis and Presley brought up the rear.

Many fans met the duo at the bandstand which held was filled with a few hundred fans. The national anthem was sung, followed by Mayor Chuck Hall recognizing Travis and all his family who were in attendance. Hall then presented Travis with the proclamation declaring that October 17, 2008 to be Travis and Presley day in Perry Oklahoma. The cheerleaders let a cheer, and the pom girls did a special dance honoring them both for their accomplishments. T-shirts were sold and many stood in line to receive their autograph from one of Perry's most remarkable people.
